1. Scope and who is responsible
This Privacy Policy explains how Okie (“Okie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our websites, applications, APIs, market tools, trading interfaces, wallet features, monitors, strategies, OkieCat, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
The Okie entity that provides the Services is responsible for the processing described here. Third-party venues, protocols, wallet providers, identity providers, and blockchains may process information under their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account and identity information: authentication-provider identifiers, email address or Google account information when you choose those login methods, wallet addresses, usernames, and login timestamps.
- Wallet, account, and transaction information: public addresses, balances, positions, orders, transaction hashes, connected exchange account details, and encrypted exchange API credentials and permissions when you choose to connect an account.
- Content and preferences: watchlists, monitors, tracked addresses, alert settings, strategies, agent configurations, OkieCat conversations and context, uploads, feedback, and Telegram notification configuration you provide.
- Usage and device information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages and features used, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, diagnostic logs, cookies, and local-storage identifiers.
- Public and third-party information: public blockchain activity, market and portfolio data, public profiles, and information received from identity, wallet, market-data, trading, and infrastructure providers.
We do not need and will never ask you to provide a wallet seed phrase or private key.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, personalise, maintain, and support the Services;
- authenticate users, connect wallets and accounts, and display portfolio or transaction information;
- save watchlists, monitors, strategies, conversations, preferences, and alert configurations;
- route requests to selected venues, protocols, AI providers, and other services at your direction;
- detect fraud, abuse, sanctions risk, security incidents, and technical problems;
- analyse and improve performance, reliability, usability, and product features;
- communicate service, security, policy, and support messages; and
- comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect users, Okie, and others.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Services, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, or based on your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing already completed and may limit features that depend on that consent.
6. Blockchains and public storage
Public blockchains are transparent and generally immutable. Wallet addresses, transaction details, token activity, and content recorded onchain may be visible permanently and can be associated with you by others. Files intentionally published to IPFS or another public storage network may also remain available after you stop using Okie. We do not control public networks and usually cannot edit or delete information recorded on them.
7. AI features
When you use OkieCat or other AI features, we process your prompts, conversation history, selected page context, and any portfolio or wallet context you choose to make available. Relevant content may be sent to AI service providers to generate a response. Do not submit seed phrases, private keys, passwords, full exchange credentials, or information you do not want processed by an AI service.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining security and transaction records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal, accounting, and compliance obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and context. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information where it can no longer reasonably identify you. Public blockchain and IPFS records are controlled by their respective networks, not by our retention systems.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption for supported sensitive credentials. No system, wallet, network, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your devices, authentication methods, wallets, recovery information, and connected accounts.
11. International data transfers
Okie and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use recognised transfer mechanisms and safeguards, such as contractual protections, to support lawful international transfers.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and appeal a decision about your request. You may also have the right to know the categories, sources, purposes, and recipients of personal information and to receive equal service when exercising privacy rights.
Submit a request through the official support channels at okie.finance. We may need to verify your identity or wallet control before completing a request. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including where information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or transaction integrity. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
13. Children
The Services are not directed to children or anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or ask for consent before a material change takes effect.
15. Contact us
Questions or privacy requests may be submitted through the official support channels listed at okie.finance. Please do not include seed phrases, private keys, passwords, or full exchange credentials in a request.
